Do you have etched-in wrinkles that do not go away even with the use of a neurotoxin? Wish you could have a smooth and even skin tone without excessive downtime? Or maybe you are known personally at the make-up counter at the local department store. Fractionated laser resurfacing is an aggressive treatment to address your needs that are not being met with spa facials or chemical peels.
When it comes to non-surgical options to rejuvenation, we have some of the newest and most advanced laser technologies at Strella. Our laser will trigger a response to build collagen, strengthen facial tissue, reduce wrinkles, and correct discoloration in the skin. When you have a bigger skin issue you need a bigger laser.
Fractionated laser is highly effective against:
Fractionated laser works by treating a small area, or fraction, of the skin at a time, creating tiny holes into the skin with controlled pulses of laser energy. Small columns of damaged tissue is removed, leaving the surrounding tissue unharmed. This process stimulates the skin’s natural healing response, promoting the production of new collagen to rebuild and restore.
Fractionated laser can have some mild discomfort and topical anesthesia is suggested prior to treatment. You will be requested to arrive 30-45 minutes prior to your treatment so that topical numbing can be applied and have time to absorb, notable decreasing discomfort. Treatment will take approximately 45-60 minutes, depending on the area being treated. Your skin may feel warm like a sunburn past treatment, cooling pads can be used to decrease this sensation. Your nurse will have suggestions on products to use post treatment to expedite healing. You will have a bronze discoloration to the skin the first 48-72 hours, then the skin will exfoliate leaving a soft radiant skin tone and texture. Full healing can take 7-10 days.
Many patients have a fractionated laser treatment in combination with other cosmetic therapies. These include other Aerolase laser treatments, injectables such as Juvederm, Restylane and Botox. Combination treatments will be discussed prior to treatment.
If you are treating acne scars or deep wrinkles, then more than one treatment may be required to attain your treatment goals.
